PRESS RELEASE: SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!!
MARLTON & MEDFORD GIRLS LACROSSE PROGRAMS TO MERGE!

NEW PROGRAM TO BE CALLED “MARLFORD BRAVES”
NEW UNIFORMS UNVEILED!

FOR OFFICIAL RELEASE: Today, Holly Wall, Commissioner of Marlton Girls Lacrosse and Ed Traz, Commissioner of Medford Girls Lacrosse, announced that the two programs would be merging into one program – the MARLFORD BRAVES!

“Both Ed and I will be transitioning out of our Commissionerships and we felt now was a great time to merge the programs and pass off leadership to others who could take this combined program to the next level,” said Commissioner Wall.

The Commissioners noted that the merging of teams from Medford and Marlton at all age groups and all skill levels would begin immediately and that they have asked the league to re-structure the season schedule to account for the new, combined teams.

“Every team will have a mix – half Medford and half Marlton players,” said Commissioner Traz. “All players will be informed by tomorrow who their new coaches and teammates are. We will be distributing our NEW Marlford Braves uniforms at practices this week in time for our games this weekend!”

The new uniforms will keep one iconic color from each program – Carolina Blue from Medford and Bright Orange from Marlton. And the combined program will be called the BRAVES in keeping with the Lenape District’s Native American monikers.

“We have been talking about merging our programs for years now,” said Wall and Traz, “and we couldn’t think of a better day to announce this merger than April 1st.”
